I finished up the seaming last night during college football watching.  I’m glad it’s done.  On to the next knit!

This is the first piece I’ve knitted in which I shopped for the yarn to match a garment that I already had.  Here they are together:


Remember this shirt?  It’s Simplicity 3876.  I wanted something that can help transition this Summer top into cooler temps.  I wanted a cropped loose sweater, nothing too fancy.  This is Stevie by Kim Hargreaves from the Breeze collection:


It’s a loose cropped cardi with one button.  There’s a nice bit of texture in the garter stitch to keep things interesting, as well as a cute picot edge:






I’m trying to do a better job at making things that will work with existing pieces in my wardrobe, or at least being more conscientious of it.
