Juliet

Just off the needles, this is a cute vest, perfect for Fall layering.

Pattern:  Juliet

Yarn:  Madelinetosh Bulky in Sequoia colorway

The pattern runs really big.  Usually, I’ll make a medium size on most tops, but this is a size small and fits perfectly.  It’s knit in one piece, and the lace pattern is fairly easy.  Bulky yarn makes this a quick project, and, I think the hand-dyed nature of the yarn works well for this pattern.

The color is hard to capture, here it is with the flash on.

It’s always nice when you can find buttons from the stash to match perfectly.  I have only 2 knitting UFO’s to finish.  My self-imposed “deadline” is December 31st to finish these two:

Pattern:  Wicked (sorry, no link.  The website seems to be down at present).  I’m actually a little further along than this picture shows.  Again, I’m using a worsted weight yarn from Madelinetosh (I love this yarn!)

Pattern:  Apres Surf Hoodie

Yarn:  Rowan 4-ply Cotton

OMG, I’ll be glad to be finished with this one!  I’ve actually finished the body and am on to the sleeves, thank goodness,  I HOPE to finish this before the end of the year!!

  1. I love the colour of this vest and the asymmetrical closures. I can’t knit to save my life – the last time I tried I was 9 and a rectangle ended up as a triangle!

  2. I love this vest. I’ve been afraid to knit garments for fear fit would not be right. How do you manage to get it right?
