On the Needles

knitting 194

I started a very loose fitting hooded cardigan this Summer out of some 100% cotton purchased at last years Stitches South.  There’s not much to it, just simple stockinette stitch.  I finished the back and am now working on the fronts:

…so, this week I whipped up a welcome diversion:

Don’t you love quick knitting projects?  I made this striped scarf in about 3 days.

I used up 2 balls of Noro Iro that I had in my stash.  I love Noro yarns, the colors are beautiful, with change-ups occurring often enough to make your knitting interesting.  For this pattern (I didn’t design it), I cast-on 29 stitches and used size 11 needles.  This is knit with 2 balls of yarn at the same time, alternating strands every 2 rows to make the stripes.

Super easy, Super Fun, and Super quick.
