This is a super simple pattern with great potential.  Basically, it’s a big circle with sleeves in the middle:

It’s two smaller center back wedges, 7 bigger wedges, and 2 sleeve shapes that connect at a center back seam.  Stitching it up is a cinch on the serger, it took me about 20 minutes to do.  This pattern is meant to be used with sweater knits and the seams need to look as good on the wrong side as well as the right side; the same goes for the hem treatment as well.  I used a very lightweight ribbed sweater knit.  It serged up fine, but the hems wouldn’t roll, so I hand stitched a bias binding around the entire outer edge.  This took days!!  In the end, though, I’m pleased with the results:

The back will hang in this A-line shape, since you’re sewing wedges together.  You can wear this lots of ways:

This is a great little wrap top!  Pay attention to the knit you will be using.  Both right and wrong sides will be visible when worn.  Good seam finishing and hem treatment will be important!

This is very interesting. Don’t you think it would look good in the wool sweater knit? Also, maybe it would look good in a print so the seams would look less visible. What do you think?
