Honeycomb Vest

Knitting 003

All finished today!

Knitting 006

Pattern:  Honeycomb Vest published in Knitty

Yarn:  Karabella Margrite, (70% angora, 30% cashmere) approximately 6 balls

Size:  Medium, finished measurement 34.5” at bust

Modifications:  I knitted this in the round, taking decreases where the side seams would have been.  I had read somewhere that when converting a flat pattern to in-the-round to decrease 4 stitches per round.  This supposedly mimics the same size as stitching up the side seams.  I don’t know that it would have made much of a difference, but I did it anyway.  I’m loving this cool vest.

The pattern is an overall 2-by-2 cable, and just so cute!  And I love the yarn!  I gotta get me some more of this.  It’s really “splitty”, but it shows off cabling and ribbing really well.
