Need a costume…Quick!

Feeling festive for any upcoming parties this week?  Have nothing to wear?  Get some festive fabric and whip up (literally) Simplicity 2847, or the number on MY pattern envelope says 0519.  Why is this?  Why 2 different numbers? Anyway, I had a party to attend this week with a Halloween theme, I had some themed fabric in my stash, and I had cut this out several days ago.  Seriously, this took an hour to make:

It would have only taken half an hour to make if I didn’t have to make an elastic casing at the neck.  This is a simple raglan sleeve dress with elastic at the neck.  The pattern is designed for multiple characters, with that basic design, from witch to angel.  I kind of like it as a simple themed party dress:

The fabric is a black satin with gold lame bats.  Add a hat and broom, and I’m ready to go!  Enjoy a safe Halloween with lots of treats!
