Kid’s Clothes

One of the great books in my sewing library is Fine Machine Sewing by Ahles.  There’s a great chapter devoted to the rolled hem and using the rolled hem foot.  Here’s a child’s slip with scalloped edges around the neck and armholes.  The hem is actually a piece of lace.  I used the rolled hem foot to make the scalloped edges.  It’s easy to do, it just takes practice; and the results are sooo cute:
