Stash reduction, baby!

I’m sure all of you craft-ists and sew-ists out there have begun making your various Christmas gifts (or at least thinking about it!).  This scarf pattern came from Sew Stylish Gifts Magazine.  You can also find a nice tutorial on their site.

I made this from purples, grays, ribbons, chenille, odds and ends from my stash of strings.  I’m about to start another one using warm colors.  What a great way to use up your odd bits! (but, of course you knew that already, didn’t you dearie?).  I thought I might leave the yarn tails dangling free form as is.  But, on second thought, I think I’ll neaten them up some.  These make nice teacher gifts.
